Grey is a wonderful and refreshing neutral.  It can be dramatic or airy depending on the tone you choose to go for.  If you are deciding to try out grey here are a few tips as to how to pair it up with some accent colors so that you may have longevity in the looks of your rooms but still have fun with trends of the seasons.

First, if you are using a warm tone of grey you want to pair it up with a coral or a fuchsia.  Coral and fuchsia are great warm tones that will really make a statement and can be easily matched with a cool pop of green or a fun yellow.  If you decide to be bold and go with a cool or dark grey we would suggest pairing it up with a lilac for your dark tones or a deep purple for your light tones and again it works really well with a pop of green and you can never go wrong with grey and yellow if you want to keep it neutral all the way around.  Teal is a fun color to mix in with your room’s palette and works great with a yellow-lime tone.  If you are looking to mix in some print or patterns keep it simple and try sticking to geometric shapes with a repeating pattern, again keeping your color palette simple with 2 accent tones at max.  We are seeing a trend in simple silhouettes when it comes to floral patterns with rich hues.  Do not be afraid of bright tones with your accents so long as you have a central neutral color, I cannot stress that point enough.

Keep in mind that color is your friend and do not be afraid of it.  Keep your palette simple with one central neutral tone (so that you may have longevity in your looks), accent with at most two warm or cool pop tones (depending if your neutral is warm or cool), and of course you always need greenery with your plants.  A home is not a home without houseplants.
